Elsie V. Johnson

Biography

Elsie V. Grimm Johnson, age 93, of Masontown, passed away Friday, April 23, 2010 at Heartland of Preston County in Kingwood.

She was born in Manheim, WV on September 24, 1916, a daughter of the late Charles F. and Etta Braham Tayman Grimm.

She was a member of the Masontown Church of the Nazarene, and was employed at the A&P store in Masontown for several years.

She is survived by two sister in laws, Lucille Grimm and Virginia Grimm both of Rowlesburg; and several nieces and nephews.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family having been preceded in death by her husband Dorsey R. Johnson in 1991; six brothers, Thomas Tayman, Harvey Tayman, Clarence Grimm, Walter Grimm, George Grimm, and Charles Grimm; and one sister, Nina Tayman Bishop.

Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Sunday April 25, 2010 from 3 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday April 26, 2010 at the funeral home with Rev. John Miller officiating.

Interment will follow at Mt. View Cemetery, in Tunnelton.
